Pink Bathroom – Austin edition

So I love old house! Although not in the market for a house myself, I do love browsing real estate sites. Sites like Trulia or Red fin let you filter results by year built. I also love renovation blogs. I first saw the Save the Pink Bathrooms site a few years ago and moved on to the creator’s main site RetroRenovation.com

One really nice listing in Austin caught my eye. It is a 1957 mid century ranch house in a historic neighborhood called Highland Park. The bathroom is pristine! Pink floor and wall tiles. A pink tile counter top and a pink sink. Dreamy…

I suspect the second bathroom is pink as well as you get a little peak from the bedroom photos. Also check out the huge backyard with an awesome curved porch.

The kitchen also seems to be original wood cabinets and a cute window over the sink. May even be the origianl wall oven and stove. Seems to have only had one owner. New bamboo wood floors in some rooms which is actually nice looking for an update that doesn’t scream modern. Huge corner lot with nice lawn and trees.
