London Fog

I’m headed back to London for a few weeks at Christmas. This brought up thoughts of winter rainy weather and a need for a new coat. Finding vintage coats at your local thrift store is fairly easy. Older coats were made of quality and cared for well as they were an investment. Classic styles are just that “classic” so can always be in fashion. Today’s standard colors are black, beige, camel, grey and red. Vintage coats come in a rainbow of other colors: pale blue, green, burgundy, orange, coral. Go bold add a splash of color whether it is a swing coat, long coat or trench coat.

One maker of great coats is London Fog. Ironically, an American company not from London. They were even featured in a episode of Mad Men a while back. Shortly after Christina Hendricks became their celebrity spokesperson for the year. Below are some photos of her ads. Available at the London Fog Facebook page.
