Thanksgiving

Well, I had a lovely Turkey Day. Went to Houston to see my sister and her husband who just got back from Iraq. Then onto NOLA to spend a few days with my best friend’s family. We hadn’t been back in three years! We surprised his mom and she was really happy.

Of course, ate too much delicious food. Yummy turkey and ham with pineapples. A little trick is to cook the ham the night before and let it soak in its juices overnight to draw out some of the saltiness. Also Jello makes a pumpkin pie pudding. It is super good and really fast.

Got a few vintage dishes up in honor of the autumn feast. A lovely German floral platter. Coming soon a 14 piece set of dishes with gold edging.
